Welcome Baby Card

Hi everyone! Candy with Candy's Creations here today to share with you a baby card I created using Craftwork Cards Candi in Polka Dots - Citrus Burst!

I made the A2 card base out of yellow Bazzill cardstock and the design paper is Choo Choo Train from Echo Park Paper Co. I then stamped the banner image and sentiment from Taylored Expressions It's a Banner Day 3 with Memento Ink in Bamboo Leaves and Tuxedo Black and die cut with with the coordinating Taylored Expressions Banner Die.

And then I added Craftwork Cards Candi in Polka Dots - Citrus Burst to the polka dots on the design paper with Candi Fix.

In the United States Craftwork Cards Candi is available at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Castle Shoppe and Scrapbook.com. Have a great day!

A Friend Is....

Hello Everyone! It's Barb here to share a layout with you today! I did something I normally don't do... I did a layout that included me! I am so blessed to have Sarah as my best friend. She is the person who can be brutally honest with me while still being my biggest cheerleader! If I have good news, I want to share it with her. If I am having a bad day, she is the one who can make me feel better. She inspires me to be a better person... it stinks that she lives so far away! Thank goodness for cell phones!

I used some Basic Grey papers and embellishments along with CANDi for this layout!

To make this flower, I curled the sides of the CANDi to form the shape of the petals. I then put the 5 petals together to form the flower and finished it off with a gem in the middle!

I also used CANDi with the paint and ink splatters. I love the way they add a splash of color!

Here is the CANDi I used on this layout: Flower Power Mia
Have a great week!

Craftwork Cards Blows Me Away!!

Hi everyone, it's Sherri from The Squeaky Scrapper with today's project using Craftwork Cards!!

For today's project I wanted to experiment with the digital papers from Craftwork Cards and when I saw this one I thought it would make a great gender neutral card.

I used the digital paper from the Botanical Garden pack, I LOVE the detail and the coloring.

They have several different paper packs to choose from as digital downloads in the store and they can be found here.

Sunday Best!

Morning Eveyone
Sunday Best time again with Marie from across the pond!

My Candi flower that I am showing today is not one I have thought up and created, it's from one of Craftwork Cards lovely customers, namely Christine Dyer, thank you so much Christine.  I have tried to copy yours but think I have a little more practice to do!!

Here is a little picture of Christine's beautiful bloom which I think looks like a rose...

I think Christine uses a tweezers to 'twist' the Candi into petals, I used my fingers! Using both hands - thumb and index finger on both.

I held the Candi at either end, right side towards me, and twisted in opposite directions (a bit like wrapping a sweet in a cellophane wrapper ).  Hope this makes sense, it wasn't something I could take pictures of....

Next I cut a slice off the top and bottom of a piece of Candi and rolled it between my fingers to make the centre.

I then use my own little circle holder invention to make the rose, punch 2 circles, fold 1 in half and glue to the other circle, you now have a little holder to create your flower on - see last weeks Sunday Best for images.  Add a nice blob of quick drying glue, rolled centre in the middle, 3 petals for 1st layer, 5 petals for 2nd layer and if you do a 3rd, you need another 7 petals - I only did the centre and 2 layers as I wanted smaller 'roses' for smaller cards.

When the rose is dry carefully cut away the card circle holder so that are just left with your bloom on a little piece of card, this won't be seen when glued to card/project.

This twisted Candi makes the most pretty rose, a really fab invention Christine, a big thanks from all us Candi devotees.

Here are my attempts and a couple of little cards to show them off.  I have done a little bit of matting and layering today, not something I do too often but I just wanted to show off some of the beautiful pearlised card stock which is now available in a pack of   Mixed colours so you get to try them all, they are really fab!

Close ups .....

I'll be back next Sunday with more Candi inspiration!

Enjoy the rest of the weekend, keep smiling, crafting and be happy.....

School Days Candi

Hi everyone! Candy here from Candy's Creations with a card I created using Craftwork Cards School Days Candi as an embellishment.

I stamped and used the coordinating die to cut out the clock using Taylored Expressions - Tick Tock set. I colored the image with Copics and attached it to the card front with pop dots.

I added some twine around the top of the card and finished it with a bow. I added some School Days Candi to the center of the bow and to the bottom of the card front.

In the United States Craftwork Cards Candi is available at The Scrapbooking Queen's Royal Castle Shoppe and Scrapbook.com. Have a great day!

Sunday Best!

Good morning all - Sunday Best time again!

Today's Tutorial features a Candi Rose, one of the simplest flowers to create using Candi.

1. Punch 2 circles.
2. Fold 1 of the circles in half.
3. Glue the folded circle to the other punched circle to create a holder to make your Candi Rose on.
4. What your flower will look like from the back.
5. What you will see from the front.

Creating your Candi Rose
1. Put a blob of glue onto your punched circle holder in the centre.
2. Cover with Candi piece, used upside down like a cup.
3. Apply glue around edge of this centre piece and add Candi, upside down, to create petals.
4. Continue all the way around until you have a complete row.

Continue building up rows of petals, applying glue around outside edge of last row and adding more Candi, all upside down like cups until you have the required size of Candi Rose.

Add a centre 'bud', using foam pads and adding a final piece of Candi to the centre, dome shaped up.

Here are a few Candi Roses and flowers made by our clever customers in the UK, first up is Julie Summers who is brand new to Craftwork Cards and has already fallen for Candi!  Welcome and thank you for this  very pretty flower Julie ......

More Candi blooms, this time from Jane Tyrrell - Jane has been following Candi Club in the UK for a few weeks now and has made lots of lovely flowers for us to see.  Jane has enjoyed it so much she has created a step-by-step post on her own blog on creating with Candi.  Jane has sent a lovely card too which I'm leaving to Jo for her Spring  theme competition so watch out for it folks it's really lovely! Thanks Jane...

I am doing this post from the very soggy, cold and wet Kent coast this week and have only a limited craft stash here so decided to use some simple Candi blooms with some Goody Box papers, soooo
lovely all of them - just wishing I had been sitting in the sun when making them - hope you enjoy and are inspired to stock up your Candi!

See you back here, same time, same place next Sunday!
Take care, keep happy, smiling and crafting!
