Happy Father's Day!

Hi Everybody!
Jenny from Crazy About Cricut here, and I'm excited to share another post as a Craftwork Cards Design Team member!  Since today is Father's Day, I wanted to share the card I made for my dad.  Here are the details:

*Father's Day Cricut cartridge
*DCWV - patterned paper (The Guy Stack)
*Core'dinations - solid color cardstock
*wooden buttons from my stash

And now onto my project!

*I layered the candies on top of some wooden buttons.  It looked perfect, and I love the dimension it added to this simple guy card!

*Here's a side view.  Love that height!

I hope you enjoyed my project! Make sure to check back here on the Craftworks blog for more gorgeous inspiration from the Craftwork Cards Design Team :O)

Altered Birdhouse

Hi everyone!
Happy Thursday!

Today I get to show you another project that uses that awesome

For my project, I decided to alter a birdhouse for a cute little home decor item.
I found this little birdhouse at my local craft store for $1.
It was unfinished wood, so I simply painted it white with some acrylic paint and let it dry. Once it was dry, I started embellishing. I added some patterned paper to the roof and then to cover the seam going down the middle, I simply added a piece of white cardstock that I folded in half and used a border punch to give it a decorative edge. Then I added some lace and string pearls to the front of my roof. I also added some pearls all along the bottom edge of the house. Then I simply punched out 3 butterflies and layered them on top of each other to give some dimension and added a flight trail with some glitter. For my finishing touch, I made that cute little flower using some Patchwork CANDi and added some leaves from a leaf punch.

Here is a side view picture:

Here is a closeup picture of my CANDi flower:

I used Patchwork CANDi on my project:

New Candi USA Design Team Member

Hi everyone!  I am Candy Slabaugh from Candy's Creations and I am excited to announce that I have been asked to join the Craftwork Cards Candi USA Design Team. I actually have been using Candi for a long time so being part of this team is a perfect fit for me!  I am looking forward to sharing my creations using Candi with you!

Today I  want to share with you a card I made using Damask - Afternoon Tea Candi and Silver Shadow Candi as embellishments.

The stamped image, sentiment and design paper is from Heartfelt Creations.  I colored the image with Copics and die cut it with Spellbinders Labels One and then matted it on blue cardstock die cut with Spellbinders Decorative Labels One.

To coordinate the perfect Candi to my projects I love to mix and match Candi from different packages. So on this card I used a blue Candi from the Damask - Afternoon Tea Candi package and a couple dark grey Candi from the Silver Shadow Candi Package.

Silver Shadow - Candi

Damask - Afternoon Tea Candi

I will be sharing more of my projects using Candi on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each Month.  I would love for you to visit my blog at Candy's Creations.  Have a great day!

My Dad!

Happy Monday morning! It's Barb, here to share a layout with you! Father's Day is just a few days away and it really has me thinking about my dad. I don't mean to brag but I do have THE BEST DAD!! I mean seriously... no one even comes in at a close second!  :)  I found this photo of my Dad and I and couldn't wait to use it on a layout!

My dad is so sweet and so kind! And he is the best fix it up person ever!!! Every time I have a project, he is the first one I call!

I love that CANDi looks like a brad without having to poke holes in my layouts. I have this bad habit of changing my mind and I can easily move these without leaving a hole behind! :) Notice the one I used with the tag. All of the buttons are from my grandmother. She collected the over the years removing them from my dad's (and his siblings) clothes! I think it is cool that I can use them on his projects now!

I also used the Rainforest CANDi in the corner of my journaling spot... perfect for a masculine layout!

Here is the Rainforest CANDi I used in my layout....
Have a great week and Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there!

Carpe Diem Dad!!!

Scrappin Toxic Midge

Well Hey there!  Fathers Day is just around the corner, so today, I have a couple of fun Cards for the guys in our lives.  It's always a little different working on projects for the men we know and love.  Heaven forbid we make them too "girlie"!  What better to use as embellishments than CANDi!?!  I chose to work with the "Bakers Street" CANDi, seen here:

     Here is the first card:
Oh gosh I just love a good mustache!  And here is the second card:
The CRAFTWORKCards CANDi works perfectly as "buttons" on the "shirt"!

I hope you have enjoyed my projects today.  I would love for you to visit me at my blog here.

If you would like to purchase some CANDi of your own, click here
Have a super crafty day :)
