Hello CANDi people! This is Britt from Pink Paper Crowns bringing you some card inspiration that is just DRIPPING with CANDi!
I love how light-weight CANDi is! I love using brads, but sometimes they are too heavy for a small tag or card – especially if you want to use a LOT of them on one small project. Buuuut, with CANDi, you can get the same look as a brad but not end up with a card that weighs half a pound!
Here I used the Convent Garden CANDi to start. I began lining them up and realized that, while just that palette would have worked awesome with the paper I chose (Indie Bloom from Basic Grey – love!) but I really wanted to pop that red background. So, I added some red and green CANDi from from the School Days pack and it matched perfect!
The mix of the two little textures (metallic strips of the Covent Garden and the plain shimmer on the School Days) give the project lots of variety and it really let me personalize everything so that it matched perfectly.
I used a Spellbinders die (inverted scallop square) to create the window and added ribbon, my sentiment and the flower embellishments to finish.
I love that it is bright and cheerful…I think a teenage or tween girl would love this!
Great idea. Love it.
