Candi Club Friday!

Candi Club Friday is back!

We want to share with all our USA friends what we are creating with Candi over in the UK.  So here is our Candi Queen, Marie Chillmaid, with her UK post for - Candi Club Friday!

Happy Friday Everyone!

It's lovely to be back here again after a bit of a break, hubby is slowly on the mend so I've got a little crafting time again - bliss!

It's all about Candi today.  As well as bringing you pics of  some of the samples I made for Julie's marathon  shows on Create & Craft TV last weekend I'll be dropping a couple of hints regarding an upcoming Candi fest.  Our lovely Julie was soooo amazing on TV last week they sent  her home early - she sold everything, yes literally everything, wow!!  Goes to show how much we all love Craftwork Cards products and the now sold out Paper Artistry is no exception, I just loved working with it and the matching Candi, double sided too no less -   just stunning. Here are some of my samples .........

An altered cane wall hanging with some Candi blooms and lots of glossed (using Glossy Accents) Candi and beautiful matching layered bow to hang it

Some simply decorated little note books that make a cute gift, great for girly dinner party gifts

Stunning papers with this amazingly kitsch little owl, just look at the matching Candi - you couldn't but love it!

This is just little squares of paper, see how wonderfully the papers all match, instead of two of the squares I have used Candi and stickled one square and glossed the other, I love the simplicity .........

This little box contained a gift that I received, I have just covered it and used it for the ring (alongside) made from card and Candi.

Over the next few weeks I will be blogging some Candi tutorials including some jewellery.  We will also be linking up with our Candi cousins in the USA and bringing you lots of Candi fun and plenty of chances to show us your creations and also to win some lovely Candi gifts.  Don't forget to pop by
every Friday, tell your crafting buddies and make sure that you are registered as one of our blog followers in order to be eligible to leave your comments so that you are in with a winning chance.

Watch this space for more exciting Candi news, see you next Friday and in the meantime if you have any Candi masterpieces to share please email on cardsandcandi@hotmail.co.uk.  Until the next time keep happy, smiling and crafting.

Sweet "16" with CANDi

Scrappin Toxic Midge

Hi there crafty peeps!  My friend's sweet daughter turned "16" over the weekend.  She had a super fun "Sweet Sixteen" party and I made this card to go with her gift.  I chose to work with the Love Parade--"Lipstick Pink" CANDi, seen here:

I chose to incorporate some of the bright colors of the party:
I used so many different elements on this card:  embossed card base, patterned paper, doily, spritz, crown embellishment, twine, stickles (to polka dot the CANDi) and of course CANDi to make the "16".
Here is a close up of the CANDi:

                Thanks for stopping by!
I would love for you to visit me at my blog here.

If you'd like to get some CANDi of your very own (I strongly recommend it),

CANDi "Kinder Kid" Layout

Scrappin Toxic Midge

Hello and good day crafty guys and gals!  It's been a while, but with the holiday season behind us now, it's time to get craftin'!  Today I have a layout to share with you.  For this craft I chose to work with the "Dots-Citrus Burst" CANDi and the "Vintage Chic" wreath kit seen here:

Here is the layout:

I used the wreath kit to make the flower center for the rosette and the CANDi on the corner of the picture, the paper stripes and the flower center.
These products are just so amazing to work with.  There are countless different ways to put them to good use!  And there are so many different colors and patterns to choose from.
If you'd like to get some CANDi  or a Wreath Kit of your very own (I strongly recommend it),
